Here also is a 3rd-century BC necropolis, or cemetery, with Doric tombs carved into the rock, including the Tomb of Ptolemeus.

20 minutes’ drive west of Theologos is one of the three major ancient cities, the ruins in Kamiros still hold traces of the ancient streets and the squares are sharply etched in stone. Local guides often compare it to Pompeii, in its wealth of archaeological findings.
